Are biscuits medicinal

So I've got off to a fairly rocky start and already had to play the jumper card. Ok so I lost 4 llbs - but not quite the success it sounds: a)I was weighing first thing in the morning rather than end of the day and b)I was jumper less.

....and I have to confess that things have continued on much the same hopeless vein! Did make an gesture towards virtuousness and bought some mussel meat at the weekend so have just had it for tea with a packet of rice. But am now sat here feeling kind of queezy.

Of course that queeziness has nothing to do with the 2 packets (yes I do mean proper sized packets) of biscuits I've demolished during the day. But it goes without saying I have an excuse - I've been burning huge amounts of calories trying to write an essay on a subject I know nothing about that is due in tomorrow! arghhhH!

All we be fine though - I'm off running on Thursday!!!!!!!

Weigh in

Well I made it, managed to leave work on time, joined the rest of the gang and went to fat club......yippee I am officially back where I started. Ok, well not quite back where I started - 4 llbs lighter. But in the whole scheme of things when you have 49 of the damn things to lose then 4 is a drop in the ocean.

So today is day 1 and sees me at 12 stone 7. (did cheat slightly and do first weight in with a jumper and full bladder - well you've got keep an emergency poundage reserve!!!)

The beginning

Well this has been a site in the making for far too long - when between sizes meant 12-14, which then became 14-16 and I almost scared to admit it, but I'm readily galloping (or should I say sloathlike) towards 16-18 - So time for action.

Have also been spurred on by the sunshine and can't face another year of feeling uncomfortable in tent like smock tops.

It's been a quick journey getting to this size, but a long journey getting back to size 12. I even have a pair of size 10 jeans in the cupboard which unbelievably I fitted into several years ago (admittedly it must have been for a brief period of time as I they look barely worn). But to go up 3 (or even4) sizes is terrible to say the least.

It all began Christmas 2007 - the other half was working away, so I occupied myself nibbling (ok I should actually say gorging) and within 9 months I'd put on 2 stone - I guess a pregnancy without the baby. I've been a habitual weight watcher member in the past and it had worked for brief glimpses. But my latest membership began in June 2008, but it has been slow progress - or even backwards progress. Which is why on Tuesday I'll be first in the queue ready to start again
